Because sometimes, a quick refresh is all it takes to feel in control even when life’s a mess.

As a busy mom, I don’t always have time to deep clean. But I do have 15 minutes. Over time, I’ve learned that a simple daily reset is the key to keeping my home looking effortlessly put-together (even if the laundry’s hiding out of frame!).
Here’s my go-to routine, with the exact tools I use and how I stay motivated when I’m just not feeling it.
🧽 My Real-Life, Mom-Tested Daily Cleaning Routine

- Wipe down the kitchen countertops and table.
Clear the clutter first, then do a thorough wipe with my Clorox bleach spray (if your countertops allow).
Sensitive to the bleach smell? I use the non-scented ones, they’re way more gentle (linked here).
- Quick sweep or vacuum of high-traffic areas.
I used to love my cordless Dyson, but it constantly needed charging. Now I use a Shark vacuum, it’s not cordless, but the suction is amazing and it’s perfect for tackling cat hair. 🐾
- Tidy the sink and give it a rinse.
No dishes left behind. A clean sink makes the whole kitchen feel done.
- Spot-clean bathroom counters and toilet.
A quick spray of Clorox and a swipe of Ajax for the toilet gets it done. Not a deep clean, just a refresh.
- Dust or wipe down any wood surfaces.
A cloth towel and a little Pledge go a long way for giving furniture that soft, polished look.
- Empty trash bins if needed.
Especially in the kitchen and bathrooms, this one keeps things smelling fresh.
- Light a candle or turn on your diffuser.
This is my favorite part. The space feels calm, reset, and ready for anything.
